Built in XVI century at the request of the family Pignatelli di Monteleone in a zone close to the antique center.
This building was restructured by the architect Ferdinando Sanfelice (1675-1748) about 1718.
Fleeing the French revolution, the Degas family acquired of this house.
Edgar degas (painter known) and remained at several occasions in this residence, in order to make visit, to its grandmother.
